The first BlueStorm hull was taken off its building frames at the end of May 2002, at the works of Tischlerei Förster GmbH, in Waldenburg, Germany. The designer was present to witness the event. Here are some pictures - click on the picture to see a larger version.

Building paused for several months while the builder was away on other boatbuilding projects. Now the boat is nearing completion. I visited Heiner Förster at his works in October 2003 and took the pictures below - click on the picture to see a larger version.

I took 'Blue Lightning' over to Germany to accompany 'Antje' in her first sailing trials. We trailed both boats to the Baltic coast area around Stralsund - click on the picture to see a larger version.
