Approximate prices are as follows:
Bare hull with centreboard case fitted: £800
Completed decked hull with double bottom: £2,500
Complete sets of plans for the HEATWAVE dinghy are available in 2 formats:
- Electronic format.
Sent via the Internet, as AutoCad files. The larger sheets can the be printed off at your local print shop (A3 and A0 printer/plotter required), though many sheets are A4 size and in .pdf format, so can be printed on your PC printer. The price for electronic plans is £70 ($140, €98).
- Paper format.
Printed plans, despatched by First Class recorded delivery to UK mainland. The price for this option is £95 ($190, €133). Other destinations (via Air Mail), £8 ($16, €11) extra.
The price includes the licence to build one boat and free of charge comprehensive support for you during the planning and building of your boat. (For each subsequent boat built to the same set of plans, the design royalty is £60).
The plans include full size drawings for building frames and constructional bulkheads and subframes, and fully defined shapes for the topsides, decks, bulkheads centreboard case, double bottom, and other major components. (Approximately 8 man/weeks build time)
