BLUE LIGHTNING, BLUESTORM and BLUEEYES are sleek and
sophisticated trailer-sailers with exceptional performance and comfortable accommodation. BLUE FLAME is a high performance trailer sailer designed for offshore racing and sailing for pure enjoyment. BLUESTORM 900 is a 9 metre offshore capable but trailable fast cruiser with good accommodation.
My high performance sailing dinghies include the state of the art Merlin Rocket HAZARDOUS series, the new HADRON singlehander and the latest high performance 5.5m dayboat BlueMotion 550.
The prototype BLUEMOTION 550 and a HAZARDOUS Merlin Rocket were
exhibited at the RYA Dinghy Show at Alexandra Palace, London, on 2-3 March 2013, where they were both shortlisted for the
Concours d'Elegance prize

TRAILER-SAILER DESIGNS
My designs all have the following features: full size
berths, full sitting headroom, galley space, large
self-draining cockpit, 'inboard' well for outboard
motor, ballasted centreboard fully enclosed in hull when
raised, true trailerability, and last but not least - excellent
sailing performance.
RACING DINGHY DESIGNS
My design career started with racing
dinghies: mainly National Merlin/Rockets (about 110 of them were
built), but also National
Twelves, International 14s, and the Harrier
single-hander. The design portfolio now includes several singlehanders and the latest HAZARDOUS series of Merlin Rockets.
